Should I count it as a coin or jewelry??

Well, I'm think I'll treat it as a coin to add to my silver count! lol What have others counted similar finds as?? Anyways, I headed out yesterday after a long stretch of no hunting. It's been raining for almost a week straight!

I was getting pretty much nothing but junk even though signals were sounding good. Then I hit a nice signal in the 67 70 range. I wasn't sure what it could be. To high for a nickel and too low to be silver. Well, I was sure surprised to see what I thought was a silver dime! :shocked01:

After closer inspection I could see it was a coin made into a piece of jewelry. It turns out it is a 5 Centavo coin from Mexico dated 1891! I found a 5 Centavo piece just like it from 1901 in the same area. Then it started to rain again and my hunt was over. Nice way to end the hunt, I'd say.

Happy hunting all! :groovy:
