Similar hunts last Sunday and today help net 9 silver for the week

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon at one site and dug 2 Mercs, 2 Rosies and 9 wheats. This Sunday I hit 3 sites and found 2 mercs, 2 Rosies and 7 wheats. I got 1 hunt in during the week and managed to squeak 1 more Merc and wheatie out of an old spot from last year. Pretty good results for the 3 hunts. Today would of probably been a 1 silver day if it wasn't for some good fortune. I was planning on hunting the outfield of an old baseball field but got a strong 12-45 on the edge of a very weedy infield. It was a shallow signal but I decided to dig it and see what I was in for. The coin was deeper then I thought and turned out to be a Rosie. It seems the infield was plowed or turned over and the deeper coins (at least some of them) were pulled to the top. After hunting the infield I found the 2 Mercs and 3 wheats at that spot. The outfield was a bust. Sometimes luck comes a calling. Keep swinging Wisconsin Digger

Nice score on some silver. So they turned the baseball field? Mike was drooling watching them dig up an old park wanting to get out there dodging dump trucks and backhoes. :lol:
