Snow and ice cellar hole hunt 2 coppers 1 unknow copper

Found some cellar holes up north so i decided to take a ride i couldnt believe the snow still in the woods,i walked about 1 mile down this old road, theres at least 8 to 10 inches still,i was hoping when i got there it would be open.Well there was just a small section open so i said what the heck,i found 2 coins in half an hour and there was all kinds of coin signals i couldnt dig because the ground was to frozen. definitely comming back to this spot.looks like i found a king george and a large cent i have never seen.

The unknown copper is an 1837 Merchant's Exchange hard times token.

Great finds! I would definitely be hitting that site again when the ground thaws!

hey Gary , good to see you getting out . the copper looks more to be a Connecticut than a George coin. great id on the hard times token Tony |:cheering: , i have a picture of one i found a few years ago in my album .

Nice job on saving the Merchant token. It seems as though you have found a great spot. Keep it secret and keep us posted :congrats:
