Whoo Hoo :clapping: got to go colonial relic hunting for the whole day. The ground was just a little crusty but very diggable. Del and I spent the greater part of the day, about 7 hours, at a site that has been great for both of us. My Nova Constellatio came from here along with tons of relics. Dan had previously found some coppers and a couple of Excelsior (War of 1812) New York buttons here. So even though we pounded this site before, we wanted to go back and have a relaxing hunt. The first picture is all of the non ferrous targets that I got all day, with the exception of some small pieces of tin. First good target was a Civil War Eagle button that desintegrated before it even made it into my pouch :ticked:, The small pewter button is the same way as was another button that I thought was a Connecticut button, but was not. So I was 0 for 3 in the button keepers race. Finally a great 12-40 signal (could be Spanish silver , but it wasn't. But I'm not complaining. It's my Very First war of 1812 era button and it has excellent color left :happydance01: :happydance01: That made my hunt right there. But I was also lucky enough to find a mostly sterling silver part of an old pencil. It has some kind of calander on it that I'm sure you could twist to line up with the days of the week and have a portable, renewable calander. Real nice piece. A small musket ball and some odds and ends make up the rest of the finds. The finds weren't poping out all over the place, but it only takes one good find to make your day.
Note to Jesse:  :teasing: This is the condition you are supposed to find them Excelsior buttons in. lol :angelic: Peace brother
