They come when you least suspect it!

Yeah, I'm talking about those silver coins! lol They've been hiding from me. The past few hunts I've gone on only produced some wheat pennies. I netted about eight in the past three hunts. The 1937 one shown in the photo was laying on the ground in the dirt. It may have been a recent drop cause it was in such great shape! The rest were in the 1920's and 30's.

So while on a quick hunt today I finally found a silver Mercury dime. I wasn't even expecting it. It rang up in the penny range! It's also pretty oxidized so I don't know what the date is yet. I did find another Merc (1917-S) from last week but don't have a photo handy to upload.

Oh, I also found a buffalo nickel the other day too, which is pictured. Love those buffs! Happy hunting everyone!! :groovy:

Wow, not that I have found a lot of silver coins but I didn't know that could happen to silver. And it's a bit more enjoyable when you're not expecting it.

Nice hunt.

Great bunch of keepers. :clapping: A little bit of everything. It's amazing how much sulfide build up is on the Merc.
