Tundra hunt 2, the next day out

I got back to the same park hoping to score more silver. Well, the first couple hours I only managed a wheaties and a bit of clad. But nearing my time to go I hit a really deep plated cross. Not long after I hit a nice 12-41 @6 inches. This netted a nice merc. Finally on board with silver!
Got a couple more wheats and a key, then on the way towards the car I got a very faint squeaker. I was almost positive it was another nail falsing, but decided to dig it anyway. Past a bit of iron nail bits I saw a shiny rim on edge. At 8 inches pulled a 1917 merc! Great way to end the day.
As Arnie said, "I'll be back"! Thanks for reading, gl&hh!

Way to go on those Mercs. When I dig one that's pretty worn it's always exciting to turn it over and see that 1916-d appear lol.

How nice it is to have a nearby park that still gives up wonderful finds like those! I bet there is more! Good job on the two silvers. :clapping:

:congrats:
