Dave with that field being in between two Colonial homes it will produce for you for a long time.Being a corn field it keeps getting turned over bringing new finds to the surface every year.
Congrats on the saves guys.
Dan I sent you a PM bud.
Looks like the museum has the right guys on hand. The Preston-Ledyard area had a ton of Indian and early white settler activity so just about any area of woods can produce some great finds. Down by...
Nice looking buttons Dave.Mushrooms look nice but I wouldn't have eaten them.........that could have been one very bad trip.
Looks like a pretty clean site vegetation wise. Got some nice finds guys.Might just be one of those sites that you let cool down for a year or so and it opens back up.
Congrats to you both it is great to help out.I have been fortunate to find one myself a few years back, one of my most cherished finds.
Well I can bring you two guys into the fold.Place is huge and still many area That hasn't been searched.
Great looking finds guys.Looks like you have a very friendly site that was used for quite some time.
Been a while since I have been out, hasn't been a peaceful summer.Every week seems something...
Looks like another relic hunter has been unleashed. The bite of the relic bug is very powerful and with a site like that there are many more finds to be had.
For the record I do love to find...
Real nice thimble.Looks like there is manufature stampings on it and if looked up you probably could get a date on it.
Sweet large cent Dan.Looks like taking a week off got you recharged and back on track.
Nice button George and it does look Early Military.
Wow Dave that George is in great shape. Not too many come out that nice but it does seem that the older ones hold up,must have use a better grade of copper.
All great finds.Gotta love it when you dig buttons that still have that nice shine on them.
Nice looking buttons guys.Tough hunting out there now in the heat, once you start sweating you become a bug magnet. We need some good rain to help with the finds, haven't seen much in weeks in this part...
Maybe not what you were looking for but a few items are better than nothing.
Those are some nice old relics.
Not a bad relic day guys for sites that have been hit.Dan that buckle is a different design,I haven't seen one like that.Nice take for a hot & humid day.
Nice token Dave.It looks to be in good shape and in good hands as well.
Great find Jesse and it should clean up nice.May still have some gilting left on it as well.
That's not a bad take for the day.Right now is not the best time of year for relic hunting...........hot, dry, weeds all grown up and the bug infestations.Any finds made now are all good.It does suck...
Nice group of finds Dan.This time of year out in the woods it does feel like you are swinging a weed whacker.Looks like it was s tough but rewarding time.
Nice flyer George.Really productive sites are hard to come across now.Does look like the dog days are starting to settle in and the darn vegetation is growing.
Some nice looking relics Dave. The button is a unique one.
