Many times when i get the iffy signals with an interesting tone I swing on the target from different angels like an asterisk. If it still sounds iffy from every direction, I try TTF. After trying...

Got the chance to hunt an old school in Dallas for a couple of hours. Also went to Palestine Tx for work and did a couple of lunch hunts. Pulled a really clean 1940 D Merc and my oldest V nickel yet...

That ball and claw thing is a handel to a dagger. Had one as a kid. They were sold all over the us in the late 60s to mid 70s. They even made that dagger design in red rubber for toys.

Went to Arlington for work this week. I got to dig a cleared home site in old town arlington. Only the steps of the house were left on an empty lot. I saw that others had hunted the site in the past....
