    Re: Northern Colorado Group Hunts

Got your message Jack and look forward to meeting you. That area sounds like a winner and I'll pass along some research about the old lake.

    Re: Northern Colorado Group Hunts

Saw a couple of guys checking out a V3. Maybe they were part of your group? Very rarely do I see another hunter.

Lots of road construction lately, especially in what I consider a target rich...

    Re: Conductive vs. Ferrous Sounds

I'm starting to use FE 2 tone more often. I set the FE line to discriminate out from 17 through 35. This coinsides with the area of low tone in FE 2 tone.

I also make sure that Trash Density is...

    Re: A question to ya'll.

Got mine from Joe DeMarco at DeMarco Detector Sales in NJ. He included the SunRay X-1 probe in the deal. Don't know if he's still doing that but I needed the X-1 anyway. My kinda deal.

  8. Re: Locating new places to metal detect with GPS.

Actually, it's a hiking GPS primarily but it is waterproof (H2O). I think the unit is starting to pass its prime but will be just perfect for me. (Cheap) Ordered the MapCreate DVD with it to create...

Poll: Re: Metal detecting number of years.

Got my first detector in the mid 70's. Put it together myself as it was a Heathkit. Later gave it away in FL.

    E-TRAC WOT; Pro's & Con's

Thinking about a big coil for the E-TRAC and leaning towards the 15 WOT. If someone has had experience with this setup and is willing to share the info;....I'd appreciate it. Next I'll be asking...

    Re: E-TRAC Arm Cuff

Although it looks a little goofy, it works reasonably well. I particularily like how the cuff is situated farther away from the E-TRAC battery compartment. Changes the whole arm/shaft angle thing and...

    E-TRAC Arm Cuff

Can't understand why they would put such a flimsy plastic cuff on such an otherwise solid machine. In addition to not having my X-1 probe yet, using the stock cuff is a pain.

    Had considered buying...

Sticky: Re: Coil for the E-Trac.

Hot Dang....... This is the thread I've been looking for.

Having the E-TRAC for a short while makes me wonder if another coil would be helpful. After reading comparisons between the Sunray 8 and...

Re: Why do you Metal Detect?

I've always liked to hunt, especially pheasants in MI. Seems like as I've grown older my appreciation for living things has changed. Spent quite a bit of time hunting for comets with my telescope but...

    Re: E- Trac V EMI's.

Have not experienced EMI on the E-TRAC here in WY. Can't comment on the V3 as I only know what I've read in the operators manual. There are some places (my property) where I can run manual 30 and...
