Hey Tony! I'm not an expert on these types of relics, but I'm told the breast plate is 1830's ish. :)
Hey Dave! I only have 1.3 acres, but my neighbor owns the fields on 3 sides of my house and I have full reign to detect them. I'm going to hunt them this week while the grass is really low. :)
Yeah. I haven't posted here in forever! I haven't detected as much this year compared to past years, and apart from a few good videos I posted this year on Youtube, many of my hunts recently have...
Hey all! I know it's been forever since I've posted. Been keeping busy with work. Did a lot of detecting last year in my down time. The YouTube channel has also kept me busy trying to put the videos...
Hey. Good to see you here on the forum!
Awesome rings! Those 2 alone are worth the trip. :clapping:I'll take gold over silver any day.
Double take! :wow:
Now that's a weekend of hunting!
Not only did you get a LARGE CENT :shocked04:
But you got a SEATED HALF :shocked04:
And to top it off you got a barber dime with...
Hey Dan. I was using the CTX. It came up like 12-39 and was a really thunky tone, like an over sized bottle cap. Thankfully I dig most signals in the old yards as you never know what will pop up!...
Found this about 2 weeks ago in and old yard by the sidewalk out front. It's identical to other WWII style ID bracelets I have seen. My largest silver item to date!
Incredible! Well done! That 1917-D SLQ is a beauty!
Great find!! Still looking for my first....Some day!
Wow, amazing! :clapping: That barber quarter is a stunner and banner worthy! :smitten:
SWEET Tony! I found one of those things you showed in your last pic once. I don't know what they are either and would like to know. :)
Awesome haul. But I'm liking that $200 coin the most.
Sweet Finds! :shocked03: I would be itching to get back there too. Liking that 1909 VDB!
Got out hunting yesterday with Rusty from Cutaplug Metal Detecting on Youtube. We have been friends on Youtube for quite a long time and he recently moved about 30 minutes away from me, so we can...
Awesome guys! Love that barber. :smitten:
Nice! Last year I gouged a merc vertical right up the band and you can't even tell. :hystericallaugh:
Hmmmm....Should I vote for Glen #1 or Glen #2? :hystericallaugh:
Johan. I'm voting for you for best coin of the month even though I have a coin up for nomination. Truly an amazing find my friend! :smitten:
Del, there's a text error for the walking liberty half. Says 197 in stead of 1947. :)
Awesome year! Looks like some of the silvers were in a fire. Any story there? :)
Incredible dime you found there! :omg:
Solid F12 detail with a minor scratch. $40 would be a safe estimate (possibly a little more) Huge congrats on a cool coin!
Are you sure you were...
Thanks everyone! Actually it was under a shade tree in the middle of the yard. So if the census worker dropped it there he didn't use the proper footpath. There were A LOT of finds under the tree...
