Hello Randy,
I prefer gloves that have some tackyness at each finger tip so gripping the detector handle, digging tool/trowel and other tools won't slip. I found these at Harbor Freight. There...
Yea, some of the older parks in the downtown area. Are you located near Gallup or Grants?
How about hunting at the old Fort Wingate area?

I'm waiting for winter and will tumble all, cash it or save it for new detector equipment. :groovy:

Hey bob_e99,
I don't own a pair of Koss headphones but what I've read was that folks out there getting fustrated with them falling off your head when bending down to recover a target. Koss...
happycamper08,
Thanks for the response. I guess that any but not all bluetooth technology (2.4 ghz.) will have some lag. For me with my Macally's headset I feel comfortable with it and really...
;) I run a V3 and get about 11.2 to 11.6 volts when I start detecting. I use the Whites rechargeable battery pack (orange label) and get about somewhere about 4 to 5 hours of use. If I was going to...
Sheik Yerbooty,
Thanks for explaining. It's gonna take a trained ear to hear all differences (sublty) of tones of good/bad targets. Yes I too dig all, but I bring up the disc. to and just left of...
Great discussion! It seems that (newer) pinpointers are getting some good depth. . . WOW! I might just to use my Garrett Pro Pointer as a back up detector by tying it to a stick just to get surface...

Toadman,
It's kinda like this analogy, you're fishing and use a small lure, you're gonna get a small fish whereas you use a larger lure, you're gonna get a large fish. The same holds true using a...
 Does anyone here have a short summary of how certain targets e.g., U.S. coins, rings (silver & gold); junk items e.g., bottlecaps, ringtop and pulltabs, alum. slaw, bottlecaps, etc. sound...
Well a little over a week has passed with no response  soooo, it seems that it is not a headphone of choice for folks out there. It's unamous, we all like our own headphones and are...
Has anyone tried/bought these type of headphones? They are pricey to say the least and was wondering if it justifiably for the price to get the best sound or keep what I have? :dontknow:
Just want...
I don't remember where I read or heard this from. Don't hold me to it, but rumor has it that, Jeff Foster maybe working on something.

I use them occasionaly and switch off with the Whites wireless headphones too. I try to use them in the fall and winter months, they're to hot for the summer and make your head and hears sweat alot....
thumbsup01 I have a Vaquero and I really like it. Easy swinging and easy on the arm. In the near future, I want to try a Eldorado. I too have a Spectra V3, not too bad for the weight.

Never had a dry spell in all of my 37 years of detecting. Bummer!

:daydream: If I recall, it started in 1972 with my friend and I collecting coins which led into metal detecting. I saw one in a pawn shop which I couldn't afford it at the time. I used to go down to...
One of these day's :daydream: one of the manuf. out there will design a detector that will tell the difference from ringtops to pulltabs to gold rings.
You just gotta dig everthing. Just give in...
