I can't complain. This makes 16 coppers for the year so far. My best year yet, with so much year left! I am so glad I moved back to MA. :beerbuddy:

To experience hunting them 10 years ago I would sell my soul!! Must have been legendary.
Yeah you were right it came out good. I bet a whole bunch of these things with different patterns would look great on display.
Nice finds! 2 KGII's in one hunt is amazing actually. :perfect10:
That is one strange looking salamander. Never seen that color pattern before.
Thanks for sharing and keep em commin.
Same to you and likewise!
Headed out today with Todd, Heavy, & Dan. We went back to the cellar hole sites I have been hitting recently. (which actually turns out to be already hunted by Del and Heavy) Small world!

I feel for you Ohio-uns! Yes, compared to where I used to live (NJ), there seems to be an amazing amount of these old home sites all over the place!
Yes you were certainly right. This is the best hobby in the world! I really like these old sites, so much history and the craftsmanship that went into building these foundations and walls are a thing...
I discovered (for myself) a wonderful site only 20 minutes away from me. I actually spotted the place about a year ago while looking through aerial photographs. All those stone walls in the middle of...
Wow nice hunt. I've always wondered what it would be like cellar hole hunting in NH. Looks similar to down here.
Love that copper! & the cellar hole pictures. Can't get enough of those.
Thanks...
I totally forgot to add the ID. Miller 3.3-F.3, so I guess if you came up with the same then I suppose I'm right. ::usaflag::
This is my favorite field of all time for sure!! Speaking of which......
Yes, near each other in a small 1/2 acre plot surrounded by rock walls. On at least 3 occasions there I found multiple buttons in one hole, which I assumed were simply lost garments.
First of all, don't hate me because I have an awesome honey hole. ;) I found coppers #8 & #9 yesterday, and #10 and #11 today. That makes 16 largies so far to come out of this one field since...
Pulled out a couple more crusty Matron heads and an old token. My friend also managed another matron head and a V nickel yesterday. The field continues to make me love it. :smitten:
Thanks all. I have found 3 thimbles at the site, but they are kinda messed up looking and don't fit in the display nicely. I suppose I could cut deeper into the cotton to display one or 2, but I am...
Nice finds. Not too bad for sites that have been pounded!
Love those cellar hole pictures.
I sit corrected!
Leave TX and move to NE! :lipssealed:
Hello everyone. Sorry if you've seen this stuff before up in the coinshooters section. I didn't realize all the cellar dwellars posted down here. Well, now I do!
All this stuff is from one tiny...
A cure for his irritation - leave FL & move to NE!

Wow, you sure have some luck! That button is a beauty. :omg:
Nice batch of finds as usual Dave. You know, I just realized that I have been posting in the wrong forums. Coinshooters no more, now I will post here. :peace:
Thanks all. I have never before found large cents that look like these, and I have found lots down in NJ. I consider myself VERY FORTUNATE because you simply don't see them come out of the ground...
Nice finds! I wish cellar holes gave up as much silver as parks!
:congrats:
I can't seem to get an exact date off the LC. 8/
Never thought about the fireworks thing. I guess it's possible. I do know that there is an old foundation right nearby, so people were definitely...
I spent 6 hours yesterday exploring a new area. My goal was to find another cellar hole. Well, 3 hours in I did in fact find one. However, it must have been hit hard in the past, because all I got...
