The only trick is learning...
This won't help you any, but on my DFX if it shows something at 4.5 yet the SignaGraph bar is almost full height then it's 99+% of the time a tiny piece of metal on the top of the ground.
Not sure...
I'll happily take any broken BE/BE2 units that are headed for the trash. :)
Lock it in the high freq mode and crank up the gain settings on it until it becomes unstable then back off a tad. Don't use the 3KHz freq when hunting gold and it may surprise you.

Hi Greg!
Welcome to the forum. 8)

Nice!!!!
Which detector did you find it with?
If you found it with a White's detector you can send the story in with pictures (and some nice words like thanks for making such a great detector!)...
Yup! Except I only fix monitors for myself. I don't do those for others. I'd rather work on Neo Geo boards.
I'm a Technical Marketing Engineer for a large network manufacturing company. My products help keep your email clean and safe. If you are using them. If not... well... :lipssealed:

Thanks everyone!
It's nice to see a lot of familiar faces.

Man... I remember in my younger days getting into a wreck and getting screwed when the cop decided it was 1/2 my fault just because of my age...
