Your "unworthy" finds would be one of if not the best hunt I've had in years...
At the last minute I managed to get out for a rare evening hunt last night. I headed to a local spot that had been under construction all summer. I got lucky with a nice Merc and was surprised to...
That 1900 Canadian cent is PRISTINE! I've dug several of those but none anywhere close to as nice as that one. Congrats on some amazing finds!
We finally got some rain last week, so my father and I were able to hit a spot we've been working this year. In previous hunts it has yielded a ton of wheats and a handful of mid 1900's silver. I...
Weird, I see the "Edit Post" button on this thread but not my original one...
I can't seem to figure out how to edit my previous thread so I'm posting this in a new one; hopefully the admins will let me know if this is not the correct thing to do (and if so how to fix it).

I got out at the crack of dawn today to hit a torn up lot in an old section of town. Pulled the coin below. I was suspicious from the second I dug it based on how it rang up. Cleaning it up a...
Congrats on the ring! A coin ring has been near the top of my wish list for some time now.
Thanks for the replies! The half is stamped with "(c) Alvin Hutson 1966." It looks like he made quite a few of these as they can be found on Ebay, Etsy, etc. Definitely not an everyday find though!
I haven't been on in a while, but wanted to share a couple of finds my dad and I have made lately. The first is his, the second is mine. I think both are pretty amazing!
Cheers!
Hello All,
I think the Infantry disc below is "Type III" from 1937-43, but I'm hoping one of you experts can confirm... I put it next to a nice silver Maritime Service ring (also from WWII I...
Nice digs, that's a day off well spent!
I'm in the Rochester area.
Thanks for the replies everyone!
During one of our hunts in November, a gentleman in perhaps his late 20's approached my father and I saw them talk for a bit. I wandered over to see what was up. As it turns out, he wanted us to...
Nice digs! However, you are supposed to be detecting ahead of me to clear out all the trash, NOT the big silvers. Please work on that.
I have gotten in very little hunting this year compared to previous years; mostly because a large portion of time over the summer was spent helping my parents move from their long time home in New...
Interesting, because I get the box with an x where the pics should be when using my computer, but on my phone the pics show up just fine.
Weird... must be some kind of computer issue on my end. My apologies.
Seems to only be an issue on pics over a few years old... recent one show up fine.
Thanks Tony! Just to confirm, do you see the pictures at this thread?

Hello strangers,
It's been a while - after a long stretch with little to no detecting I have been able to get back into it in recent weeks. I was thinking about some of my best hunts in the past...
Sweet digs! That silver heart is especially nice.
I was able to get out a dozen times or so in May and I had some decent luck. I managed to find what I hope will be some productive new hunting spots but the ground was so dry towards the end of the...
Wow, that is some crazy treasure! Is the "key to heaven" item silver?
It was a long, long winter and I was not able to start detecting until mid April this year. I've only gotten in 5 hunts so far this year but I've been having some good luck. Here's hoping it holds...
