Unusual find. Nice looking also. I'd bet that if you send it into Mark Parker at Western & Eastern Treasures he would Identify Where it came from.

Nice finds Rob. If you had stayed in work you wouldn't have gotten those silver coins. Staying in work means you are not getting silver coins. Maybe you should quit work and just get silver coins. It...
Awesome find. It must have made your heart jump.Something everyone would die for. Congrats.
Great find! It looks like it was dropped yesterday. That site probably has more goodies.
The poem is great, the coppers are great. I like coppers even when you can't see any images on them. I've got quite a few and love getting them, even wiped out. Congrats on your outing.
Good going! :omg: I can't believe all the trash you dug to get those keepers. Persistence pays off.
Congratulations to all of you. This forum runs very smooth because of you. Thanks.
Great hunt I also love those old ladies. The older they are the better I like them. Although that only pertains to coins.
That was a great hunt. You guys did good. Lately the past 6 or 7 cellar holes we visited were pounded. I and two other buddies got probably 3 buttons all together. We weren't even getting old trash. I...
Welcome Gabby. Please post some of your finds the past 6 years.
In Canada a lot of the coins are magnetized, so they pick them up by dragging a large magnet in waters where people swim. I guess that they do pretty good from what I've heard.
Wow You certainly got a lot of bells. Where are the whistles? It looks like it was worth putting up with the flies.
I think that the one on the left is also a castanoga. I've found a few of those. The one on the right ,I have no idea what it was. Maybe a school bell? But most school bells I've seen were larger.
The handle I had, but you could pick one up in a hardware store. The clapper is a steel ball with a hole in it. I took a piece of copper wire and soldered it into the hole in the ball. There was a...
I agree with RaZr the pro pointer is excelent.
Great story. I'm pretty sure that you could have taken the whole six pack. Hopefully you got to have two.
The bell that I got last week was scratched from trying to remove it from its grave. I polished it and put a clapper in it. Its ringing again after probably 100 years, sounds pretty good.
I've thought of trying to pry them apart but, where one edge of the coins is melted, and you can not see any reeding I figured that i would probably ruin them. So I'll leave them that way. Chances are...
Wow. Your finds are always great. You have a lot of detectorist. green with envy, including me. |:cheering:
It looks to me like its a hat for a tiny figurine.
That is a nice find. It looks like there are four legs ,and two arms coming out of the same side. Its different thats for sure. Somebody out there has to know something about it.
I think your right. It may be the only 30 cent piece in the U S. Thanks for bringing that up, I feel a lot better now.
That show is giving Metal Detecting a bad rap. Like you say (Its all staged.) >:/
Sorry about that. There ten years older than the one I got today.
Congrats on the mercs. There ten years younger than the one I got today.
