I have an area not far from you that I would like to hunt in a couple of weeks. Why don't you P.M. me and we can discuss it. I just now have seen this message so I apologize for responding late.
I'm just now seeing this so I apologize for not responding. What part of Houston are you located in?
I'm going to be visiting Savannah in a few weeks, probably a day or two on a trek up to Ct. Any suggestion for good spots for MD'ing and nice play to stay?
I hope so. It would be nice to have someone with me.
I'm retired, I enjoy photography, hunting, archery and metal detecting. I would like to find someone interested in md'ing during the week. I live in the Cypress, TX area and wouldn't mind an...

Welcome and happy hunting.
Hello again, Boulder! Glad to be here
Thank you and thanks for the invite. I've only been working some soccer fields and schools around here.
Welcome, Capt. Hook :pirate: from Cypress, TX. I'm kind of new here also just returning to detecting after some time off. Friendly and helpful people are on this site.
Hey Boulder, glad to be here! How's hunting in New Jersey?
It's a 1954 no mint mark on it. Around the school yards and playgrounds I've been using the Pro Coin mode. It seems to help out a lot. Only problem is I'm getting pull tabs and foil at 70+ so I wind...
Thank you ALOLDSTUUFF; I'm happy to be here and looking forward to some great finds.
Thank you FF43 and thanks for your service to the community. I'm retired law enforcement myself.
Today I went out for a couple of hours in my subdivision to a school playground and came out with a few clad coins and some nickels. Just getting used to my AT Pro so I was happy with today's finds.
Thank you. What a great city you have there.
Glad to be here Tony.
Hello there Epi-Hunter. You are right about Kentucky Tobacco but that stuff is for cigarettes. Ct. Tobacco is used primarily for cigars. Are you in coal country?
You get what you pay for Dan. Good Connecticut broadleaf still is the best jacket for a cigar. ::usaflag::
Hello OxshoeDrew. I've been living down south since 1981. I love the heat. Nothing down here to shovel unless I want to do so or I'm metal detecting.
I do miss the softer ground for MD'ing. This...
I'm very familiar with Enfield. A beautiful part of Ct. Good tobacco leaves there.
Hello Dan. I use a Garrett AT Pro. I love the seasons here in Houston, summer and the other day. What part of Ct are you located? I grew up in New Haven.
Been to that area many times. Grew up in New Haven.
Haven't had a chance to work the shoreline yet but it's possible they are there. You from the Pittsfield area?
