I heard that Fisher Lab's, Teknetics and Bounty Hunter belong to the same group or company... Am I right?
If yes, is this a good section to talk about BH stuff?

I believe they are all made by First Texas. I did add BH to the title of the forum, and yes, please feel free to discuss Bounty Hunters here.
Minelab E-Trac/Sun Ray X-1 -- Minelab Sovereign GT/Sun Ray S-1 -- White's v3i/Sun Ray DX-1
Fisher CZ3D -- Tesoro Tiger Shark -- Garrett ACE 250
Thank you Epi-hunter
...When I go on the official sites of BH... Www.Bountyhunterstore.com or www.detecting.com/, we can see some Teknetics models. Also, I noticed that some Fisher parts looks like BH. The Fisher F4 is like BH Discovery 3300. BH Platinium looks like Teknetics Gamma 6000 control pannel mounted on an Teknetics Omega frame...
Even there is some coils for Fisher that can fits on BH... Like NEL Tornado 12 X 13...
Searching the net, I found, on the site Wikipedia, a french article telling that First Texas owns those three companies (but didn't find the english equivalent article)

...So, to make a long story shorter... Thank you! I know that BH are cheaper machine then many other brand, but I think they are awsome for bringing people to practice this hobby

I agree Daniel, BHs are good for the hobby
I started on a BH Quickdraw2.....found a complete c.1810 pewter spoon, bridle rosette, and a '91 IH. I stayed with First Texas with the T2. Good luck

While I'm looking for a detector, trying a BH brought me almost 20.00 of modern coins and some experience over a bit more then a mounth... Also, it makes me know what I would like to have as a detector...
I have a lot of interest for Garrett AT Pro, but Teknetics is offering good products to... T2 is a really interesting one.

I own the BH 202 with three different coils and had only one problem with one of the coils, I tightened the coil wire too tight and it sometimes shorts out. I have made many finds with the BH 202 and my wife uses it with the 5 coil.
I did want more and upgraded to the F75 and going through a learning curve right now. I may add a AT Pro or a Soviern GT later on. I would not call the BH machines cheap. They really do a good job if your just getting started.
Once you upgrade, you will have things like EMI, threshold, sensitivity and such to deal with. Good luck and remember you cant find it if you dont walk over it.
