    Button HELP !! Please :-)

    Hello all !!

I was out at a site that has yielded lots of Victorian to 1920's goodies... and today was no exception...

This button hasn't seen the light of day since.... *shrug* I assume Civil Way period by the button type...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

You can see YORK on the botton and & CO on the top (of the reverse)

sorry Paul , its not a U.S. Navy regulation or Marines ..
it could be a merchant marine or civilian or even a foreign naval button , it definately looks like an older type pre 1900's anyways . sorry i couldn't be more help.
