    hey Dennis that looks like its half to a fancy sash buckle to a womans dress belt they were very popular in the victorian era (1850's to 1910)

    I have no idea but it's very ornate. Nice going. I will agree though that with the clasp it's definitely a clothing relic like Dan said. He's usually right unfortunately.
