    Short hunt new site

Hunted this new site for around ˝ hr. this eve. The new site looks promising and the research that I did dates it to the 1600s. It was getting dark and I was out there in the woods, found some early 1700s stuff but this pocket knife I cannot find to much info about it. Thinking it was made somewhere in the 1800s. Waterbury made lots of brass and copper things in the colonial days. I will do some more research on it and hopefully find the maker W.VILLE. ....HH.... 401K

Is that a knife or a shaver? Either way with the marking, it's pretty cool!

I found the same knife at a cellar hole. The W.Ville is not the maker it is the abbreviation for a section of Waterbury called Waterville. Not sure what type of business this was as I haven't bothered looking into it. here's my knife below

Thanks everyone! The knife is way kool and the ability to track it down was awesome. I will get back there but for know I'm digging a few holes in some yards so they can heal so I can hit them again soon. ....HH....401K
