    Roy Rogers Saddle Ring

I found this ring today in a spot where I have found lots of wheaties, mercs, and parts of Red Ryder toy guns. It might actually be worth a little bit.

Aside from the ring the wife and I found 10 wheaties.

Man o man John, why couldn't dear old dad have bought a couple dozen of them silver rings. At that price, it would have been a great investment. I can just see my mom telling my dad, just spend your hard earned money on them rings, you know, for our kids future lol if we only knew what was going to be collectable, we would all be rich

It's said to be silver, but that doesn't appear to be entirely accurate. It is more likely nickle with a little silver plating. You can see some of the plating has worn off. It rang up mainly in the nickle range on my XLT but had a few jumps into the higher numbers. I thought it was a war nickle before I dug it because I have found a few of those in this area.
