41st Hunt at my Favorite Spot

Not too much hunting this weekend as a friend was in town... I hit a few tot lots Saturday morning without any great luck - just a bit of clad. Sunday afternoon though I got out for a nice hunt at my favorite spot. This was the same place I tried to go for my first hunt this year but was asked to leave by a groundskeeper. I figured a dreary Sunday afternoon would be safe for my return. I have hunted this spot 40 times before now... the 41st trip did not disappoint. I wound up with 100 coins even which included two silver Rosies, nine wheats (one dated 1916), a '54 nickel, and a Susan B dollar. There's nothing better than a pocket full of clad with a few silver coins thrown in. Also found a lead seal, one of those ironic pull tabs which read try again, and some other misc junk.

    Happy hunting...

That's a lot of digging Z You did well in the wheaty department with some oldies there. Silver is always welcomed lol And it appears your buddy doesn't come out in bad weather That's a good thing. I think that pull tab was part of a contest. Was the message on the bottom side of the tab? It would have been hidden until you poped the pull tab off. I think I remember some of them. Glad you got some time to hunt.
