    Muddy Day Silver

We had been getting battered by rain the past few days, but today it let up enough to allow for some detecting. It was a messy affair though, with muddy soil clinging to everything - gloves, trowel, probe. Anyway, I did manage to find four silver coins, three mercury dimes, dated 1923, 1927-D, and 1936, and one Roosevelt dime, dated 1946.

The wheat cents are not in the best of shape, but I'll take them. The other item is a button.

That Roosevelt sure is ugly 4 more for the pile. That button is cool, is it silver? I'd take that over the Roosvelt any day Lots of greenies too

Yeah, that Rosie had no business showing its face. I should have thrown it back. I like the button too. It isn't silver though. Most of the wheat cents are in poor shape. The soil at this particular park isn't kind to them.

I'll give the Rosie a short ammonia bath. He'll be just fine after that.

You always astonish me with your silver and wheat total. You should really write to Minelab if you can. You can tell them endless stories of silver hunts in the rain, snow and heat. That would be something i'd wanna read.
