    Cast Iron pipe

I have a friend who is having problems with his septic and needs to know where a cast iron pipe is located. Can the e-trac detect cast iron at what I would assume would be at least two feet down? I'm thinking that it may be too deep even though it's large.

    Thanks for any response.

Bob your up in NH , yes if so that pipe could be more like 48 or 4ft deep due to code and has to be below the frost line in which case the etrac won't find it .

Yes, that is correct. I am in NH. I did try and was not able to locate the pipe. The backhoe ended up digging a long trench until it found it which was as you expected down just short of 48 inches.

Thank you Dan for taking the time to post an answer.
