Went back this evening before dark to hunt at the early 1800's house I reported some first finds on last week. This is the same house my son and friend found their first IH's at. Well tonight was my night for success. Went by myself as my son went to a water park down in the Poconos and Don was busy. First find was a '45 Wheat, so I knew we missed some stuff here the first time for sure. Second, find was another silver ring that was right at the base of the grass, newer wide ring marked 925 TW Thailand. Belle, the homeowner, thought it might be her daughter's so I let her have it to check out and if its not she said she'll give it back to me. Did I say Belle was a great lady, I will be happy if only it returns to its owner. After giving her the ring I continued on into the deep back yard where Don found his 1810 Lg Cent and the IH's by both him and my son found. Here is where I found a good signal in between some trash as I would get a sharp 77 VDI signal and then some splattering on either side of it. The D2 shined here I think, and was the only reason I got a good signal. I couldn't pin-point to good but honed in on the spot in motion mode. I dig down expecting trash and out pops this quarter sized disc. Thought it was a button but low and behold its a super looking 1865 2-Cent piece . This is my best condition old coppa coin by far . With thunderstorms rolling in I detected some more till the next signal, that turned up an older button. Great one hour hunt and assures me their is more at this site to find.
Yazoo and Jack, thanks for the Modified/Correlate C&J program you guys posted in the Whites section. I hybridized Yazoo's program with Jack's correlate settings and it is working very nicely thumbsup01!!
