    Todays Hunt

I would like to thank Todd ( Thiltzy ) for the invite to hunt today. Dan ( Del ) , Todd and myself have been trying to get something going and it finally came together.

This is the ring I found today along with a couple other goodies. The ring weighed in at 6.91 g and looks like another oldie.

It was a pleasure meeting Todd and I always enjoy being around Dan, he is a fine gentleman.

Dave i wasn't alright today , it was my first time into the water (almost waist deep) and it was tough to juggle that huge scoop (Frank let me barrow) , my detector (not a submersible unit) and keeping from falling into the monster holes i was digging in the bottom of the ocean. lol rofl but i had fun and dug a lot of brass targets , lead weights and junk jewelry.

Wow Frank, almost 7 grams! I was thinking more like 5 grams, that is great. I am so happy you got a nice keeper. Even though I did not get any gold today it was easily trumped by being in such great company in the likes of you and Dan.

I was really hoping that Dan pulled a nice gold keeper as well, there is always that pressure of hoping that the friends you invite to one of your own hunting spots find some goodies. At least Dan found some sweet junk Bling jewelry and I am sure it was worth his 2 hour drive rofl

Dan and Frank are true gentlemen and it was a pleasure meeting the both of them I am looking forward to future hunts with them.

Frank forgot to mention that his ring is 14k and I was waiting for your post before I showed my pics and the icing on the cake is getting to see Dan dressed as a Navy Seal

I always take the attitude that any one of those targets could have been gold or silver .....and sometime are.

Dan and I belong to the same club and get to see each other on occasion. However, we have only had the opportunity to hunt two times together , and both times he has brought me good luck ...well, maybe great luck. thumbsup01

The first hunt was last October, when he invited me on a hunt with him and George. I found a cache of 11 , 8 reale counterfeit coins buried under a large stone in a wall. I doubt I will ever top that find.

This ring is another nice find that Dans luck rubbed off on me....Thanks Dan. |

    Re: Todays Hunt

What a great looking ring. I have to agree with Dan that it does scream 1920's - 1930's. Glad to see that everybody finally got to get together for the hunt. Judging from the way that Dan was dressed I'm gonna say that is was very cold. agian on that ring.
