Can you put that barber quarter on a solid surface and pound out the bend, or is it damaged beyond that?
Thanks Epi. I think the quarter is more interesting as is. I can just imagine someone going to a wild west show and maybe Annie Oakley shot the coin when it was tossed into the air!

The heel plate is cool too!
Thanks TIm. I didn't know it at the time but have since learned it is a Union Army heel plate! My first CW relic.

I can just imagine a couple of beer buddies exiting a saloon in the first couple of years of 1900 saying... I'll bet you a beer you can't shoot this out of my hand. lol

Congratulations on a great hunt. The LC is a fantastic keeper.
The large cent was definitely a big surprise.

That barber is a thing of beauty. I've yet to dig one myself so you can imagine how green with envy I am!
Thanks for commenting. I hope you get a barber half real soon!

you guys up there have all the good stuff lol.; count your blessings everyone, with regards to your silver vs wheatie ratio's. i'm up to 29 wheats so far this year with ZERO silver .
29 wheats is pretty good. Your silver should come soon!
