Re: Question about a microscope (for cleaning coins)

thats a good question Serega , i just have a very small cheapy computer microscope i bought off ebay. its does an O.K. job on taking close up pictures of key areas on coins but i couldn't use it for cleaning or restoring my coins. i do have a nice (older) large and powerful magnfiying glass on a swinging telescoping arm ( it has its own lighting too) that aids me in cleaning items .

I don't use a microscope. But I do use a Donegan DA-5 OptiVisor Headband Magnifier. It works pretty good and is relatively cheap. I think you can pick one up for 30 or 40 bucks.
