    Eyeball GOLD

Being the little kid that I am, I went to the Dollar Store to get me some candy. Got out of the car and took about 2 steps, looked down and there it was. Picked it up, put in pocket, got my candy, came home and tested the gold. Tested at 14k but I will have to go to a jeweler for confirmation. Pretty sure it's gold.

nice on Al thumbsup01 couldn't tell you how many times i found jewelry or money by keeping my eyes on the ground . once i found two one hundered dollar bills folded up laying just in front of a gas pump , the person must of used his charge or debit card to buy the gas and when they pulled it out had some mad money in the sleeve as well. hey i gotta ask what kind of candy did the youthful boy get.

    Sweet

I've never eyeballed gold or detected it lol

It's eluding me like the plague! I've found gold plated, gold filled and just recently rolled gold. Each time I find it the plating keeps gets thicker. :hysterical:

    Congrats on the gold! |

Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't see it, but what it is exactly? A pin? Earring? What kind of shape is that? It almost looks like a cowboy hat.

    No digging needed.

Looks like a garment pin to me. Congrats Al.

    Re: Eyeball GOLD

It's a pin of some sort. I agree that the design looks like a hat, maybe a Red Hat Society pin... lol.

No markings but I can see where it has been runover and scraped and its not showing any signs of plating. Even in the deep gouges its gold.
