    Wet beach sand machine?

Going to Myrtle Beach in June. I have a DFX300. is it a good wet sand/shallow water machine? Helpful wet sand tips will be appreciated.

Hello Shooter1 , the dfx is a pretty good (for a vlf machine) detector on the wet or dry sand and you'll get good ground coverage with that 12 inch coil. depending how high you have the preamp gain turned up you might get just a bit of falsing from time to time . the machine is very suseptible to emi however , especially from those radio beacons that some beaches have to let ships know of the shoreline whereabouts. for the most part though it should be pretty smooth on either the wet or dry sands. i've have found a few jewelry pieces including some gold with this machine on the beach , good luck.

I've hunted a few beaches. Check my post in the thread below. Some have found it helpful.

I've traveled a long way, and many of the roads weren't paved.
