    Boot Gun & Cannon Ball

Went to see if any goodies were left at the Shipwreck Site and sure enough after the storm it was game on... not many targets but plenty of digging for sure... Found some very nice bottles deep in the mud the other day, along with a fantastic boot gun made of brass and iron... Maybe someone can I D it for me and what time period it was from... Got a 5 lb cannon ball that is in perfect shape... Man does it get any better?... The bottles cleaned up very nice too... 8 silver coins today along the beach up higher in the sand and away from the Shipwreck.... All Mercury dimes....

hey nice looking torpedo and rolling-pin soda bottles , the boot pistol looks like a percussion cap type and that i belive would make it atleast around 1850's to 1860's . congrats on some great relics Whydah

Wow! You realy do get some good finds. I'm glad that you posted, cause I found the barrel of a boot gun,and didn't know what it was until I saw yours. I thought it could be a barrel from a gun but wasn't sure. Thanks for posting. Its always interesting to see your finds.
