    Mint Error?

Found this at an old celar hole, but just recently thought about the rim looking strange. Error? What Kind would this fall under?

does it look like the date was stamped first?

Does anyone agree that this is an error? Otherwise there would be a reed on the piece covering the 0.

    Re: Mint Error?

it just looks like it got damaged after minting and i would explain that part of the inside reed being worn down due to it
being in circulation for a few years anyways , now if the date was on the damaged area or over the top of it i'd say it was an error
