Dennis, You found some great coins and a very interesting token. I hope someone can identify it. The icing on the cake was at the end of the hunt when you surprised me with that 1900 Indian cent. Maybe if I slow down and I will get finds like you. BigJohn

Our Lincoln one cent coins here in the USA had stalks of wheat on the reverse from 1909-1958.

As a general rule, most detectorists prefer to find wheaties over newer cents because they are a little older and are often a good indicator that silver coins may also be found in the same area.

    Lifetime totals:
10 Large Cents, 415 Indian Heads, 2 Two Cent Pieces, 1 Capped Bust Half Dime, 1 Seated Half Dime, 10 Shield Nickels, 68 V Nickels, 124 Buffalo Nickels, 31 War Nickels, 16 Seated Dimes, 131 Barber Dimes, 405 Mercury Dimes, 249 Rosies, 4 Seated Quarters, 18 Barber Quarters, 20 Standing Liberty Quarters, 89 Silver Washingtons, 1 Seated Half, 3 Barber Halves, 16 Walking Liberty Halves
