    Silver and Military

Got out for a few hours today. Went to a park in another town which I have frequented before.

For the coins I dug a 1946 rosie and 2 wheats.

As far as the military items goes, the brass disc has crossed rifles and a screw post on the back. It's either a hat or lapel pin.

The next item I am quite sure that its a 3 ringer. I have only dug one other up here in the Northeast. If I am wrong please chime in.

    Thanks for reading and HH

The crossed rifles collar device was worn on US Army uniforms before and during WW1. Nice finds by the way!!!

    Re: Silver and Military

    Wow Al!

I think perhaps may be Confederate minie ball as it looks larger/wider than the Union I find here. I was watching 'Diggers' (btw I love 'em & thank goodness another show came out besides 'American Diggers' ) lol

but anyway they unearthed 2 minie balls and compared them, confederate was much larger and shaped like yours...
