More Street Project Finds - Shield Nickel, Token & IH

This street project started off in a good way with an 1859 fatty IH. The old coins and finds are sparse at this site, but when I find something in the way of coins they sure seem like good oldies.

Here is an 1899 IH and a shield nickel with rays, date yet to be determined. Also a toasted bar token.

Nice old coins from that sidewalk tear out. All you need is the last digit on that shield nickle. Hope it's a 6.

I cleaned the nickel a bit as best I could, I am pretty certain it is 1866.

Great finds, Darren! That shield nickel is awesome! |

The side with the 5 is in terrific shape for a shield nickel. It doesn't look like it has much wear on it. It must have been dropped not long after 1866.
