Return of a liftime! 60K platinum ring!

got a frantic call friday night from a guy who lost the one ounce platinum ring with sapphire in it. made the 75 mile drive Saturday morning, 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there 10 minutes to find it. mission accomplished. 1 ounce of platinum at 12 carat blue sapphire. insured value 61,000.

He was very appreciative and gave me $300.00 for my time, gas and tolls. This ring was crazy heavy it was closer to an ounce and a half then an ounce!

Great save and great story Ron. I must say though that $300 seems like a small finder fee for a 60k item. I would have given you a couple grand thumbsup01

Thanks everyone. I would love to find that on a non recovery hunt. It had no markings so I'm not sure I would figure it was that expensive.
