    What is it? Need some Help

    Hoping some one can identify this relic piece? A friend of mine found this in his yard.

    It looks like a keyhole cover on a lock. Never seen one that nice, but that was my first guess when I saw it. Great relic whatever it is.

    it very well could be off a miltary issued lock or strongbox
