Silvered colonial shoe buckle*1844 large cent

Todd's friend Tom got us permission to search a cellar hole on private property.the owner was a super cool guy and took us right out to the site.My very 1st target was a 1844 Large cent.quite a few good targets I recovered without my pinpointer.i left it in the car a mile away
next was a patriotic civil war token with flag of our country on front.back is the DIX in circle variety but it's pretty toasted and didn't clean it any further.
a cool one pice button with a ring attached to shank L.B.Jones backmark.a flat button,a small chape from a smaller colonial buckle, a front of a civil war "Infantry" cuff button and my find of the day was a ornate applied silver colonial shoe buckle frame.the iron guts were trying to hang on but it just disintigrated in my hand when cleaning it.no chance of saving them

Todd took the cherry off the cake today with his spectacular find!

Nice bunch of finds Dave. That buckle sparkles Nice coppa too. Did you even keep all of 2013 separate from the other years? It must be your best year so far.
