    Some cellar hole stuff

It's not much of a cellar hole but it has given up some goodies in the past.

Managed a few pewter buttons, ornate shoe buckle frame fragment, pewter spoon handle, small iron spoon and a crusty old stirrup. I had dug a USA button not far from this site so any time I dig a pewter button I get a rush.

I am hoping we get a hard freeze soon. Ticks were out in force once again.
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

Nice hunt. The holes don't have to be pretty to give up the good stuff

I've yet to find a USA button....love to some day. I found a stirrup at a hole just like that one. Looks very old. That's a lot of nonferrous items, I bet there are more coins.
