    My finds of 2013

Full 46 minute video of all my finds is uploaded to my YT channel. =)

Living in Tennessee this year was challenging, because I had to stick to mediocre public properly not having many leads for private permissions (or knowing the area well) But I still made the best of it and had a great time. Moving twice put a dent in my hunting time. I got about 9 silvers before I left PA last January when we had a bit of an indian summer.

Funny that I got 3 big silvers this year and only 1 is a US coin.

The silver ring pictured is my first ring ever found with a real diamond.
Also got my first gold this year, a 10k gold and sterling silver ring. The metals are literally welded together on different parts of the ring. (It's a 1936 class ring)
The charm bracelet is all sterling. Funny thing is I found the last 3 pieces hunting the same spot 3 MONTHS after I found the 4 first pieces. It was scattered everywhere.

I can say I worked HARD for these finds. About half the silvers came from 4 different spots. So without finding a few go to spots it would have been very tricky. But I was more than happy to clean them out.

I hope you all have a great 2014 hunting season!

Nice finds. Love the big silvers and the charm bracelet pieces. That off set penny is real cool too. You had a good year and it must have been hard to find new sites not being familiar with the area. You should do even better this year.

Thanks Dave. When the old coin spots were far and few between I focused on looking for jewelry. The school sports fields were really good to me for the rings this year.

Congrats on the year and especially with the fact that you moved to an unknown area, well now you have the winter to locate the hot spots. Good luck and I was always told to speak to the older people in the area, they are the greatest source for local history. Safe & HH

Thanks. Not sure about year round hunting. Just depends on how cold it gets. The big freeze looks like It's going to hit down here too, so it might be frozen for a week or so. But we still get a lot of temps in 40's and 50's so even if it does freeze it probably won't stay that way long.
