Del's cleaning method on my best button

    Hey Diggers,
Thought I'd give the Del method a try. This is a R & W Robinson 2-piece made between 1834 and 1848 in Attleboro, Mass. I found it in a heavily fertilized cornfield at the site of a CW era house. What do you think? I just love the little federal eagle on the backmark! Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.

Not too bad. It brought up all the available gold. Usually if you see green or black, the potential for more gold to be underneath it is still there. If you see a pitted or rusted red, then you are at the base metal and can go no further. If I see that rust red, I usually use a brass brush or scuff pad to even it out, but I try and stay off the already exposed gold.
