    The crown jewel of my Thaler collection!

    Hey diggers,
    It's supposed to be cold and snowy this week. I'm going stir-crazy. I thought I'd share my favorite coin from my collection. A 1785 Tallero, Italian States, Venice. 40mm across and 28.5 grams silver. I just love these huge coins! Thanks for looking. Too bad we don't live in Europe where they dig these up occasionally!     That is one monster coin. Lucky it survived and wasn't melted as scrap. Great looking coin.

    That is a really nice coin. I wonder what kind of vdi numbers and tones in your head you would get locating one of those. No that's what I call roundness in the hole. Wow!
