    Nice Token Today

Been a while since i've been out swinging but had a hour or so to get out. Went to a spot that has given up some nice coins in the past and gave it a go. Got a 1920's era token for Force cereal featuring "Sunny Jim". The other coin is a 1916 Merc that looks like it was in a fire and yes it's a D mint mark. Any idea's on cleaning? Don't think it's worth much in this condition.

Here's a link to the token history http://www.timepassagesnostalgia.com...&sis=-1&rdir=1

    Happy Hunting All!

Congrats on the finds and especially the merc. I've always used baking soda baths for all my silvers and seem to come out very good. I have not found a coin that may have burned in a fire yet. Good luck safe & HH

Nice find on the '16 D Merc I would wait to clean it until you can decide on what method you would use. If there is a coin dealer in your area you could ask them. Also, you could Google larger coin dealers and ask them their advice. I would include pictures too. From the looks of the front of that dime, it must be in great condition other than the black. Sweet find.

Since it's a 16D...which is an amazing find...I would send it to one of the coin grading services that will clean and grade it
