Hello All, I just joined the American Detectorist. I am located on the Texas Gulf Coast near Houston. I enjoy all types of metal detecting and researching history to find areas with high probability. I spend most of my time searching for coins, jewelry and relics. I use Fisher and Garrett machines, two water and two general purpose detecting. I am hoping to expand my knowledge and techniques through the forums and sharing my experiences. If there are others in the Houston vicinity, I always like to meet up and make new friends.

Thanks Coinnut, I'd share weather except we have a system moving in bringing freezing rain, sleet and possibly snow so I don't think it would be much relief. I do however appreciate the mild climate that we usually enjoy.
