    New to Forum, Hello.

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and just wanted to say hello. My primary MD interest's are salt beaches, although I have been known to swing a coil about anywhere I can. I live in northeast Massachusetts on the border to New Hampshire about a 40 minute ride from the coast. I do spend time at Salisbury beach MA and also at Hampton NH, although Hampton has never been very kind to me. I'm just beginning to venture both north and south of those spots. Any suggestions on beaches in the New England area one can MD at would be most welcome. (And one's not to go to for legal reasons) Thank you and best wishes to all....

Welcome Tom! I'm on the west coast, so I will be of no help to you, but look forward to your stories and pics of some of your finds.

Welcome to the forum Tom , I get out to Hampton Beach about once of twice a year . Its a tough beach because of the pressure of a lot of other detectorists , i think i counted over 40 metal detectors swinging one morning. I've pulled some deep gold or silver from the wet sand just about every time i go. Maybe we could meet up there when i vacation up that way in August , theres a couple of others that go up there about that time .

I've traveled a long way, and many of the roads weren't paved.

Welcome from western MA. My mother lives at Hampton and my sister has a horse farm in South Hampton. I for one don't like detecting the beaches, give me an old corn field any day. Hope to see some of your beach finds posted up here.

The good thing about the beach is it does not freeze. So there is someplace to go when the corn field is hard as a rock!
