What? I already have more silver than Tony? First hunt of the year.

    Hey Diggers,

I'm sure Tony will surpass me soon enough though! I was able to get out for 3 hours today. The ground is thawed in some places but frozen in others. The 4th door I knocked on I got a yes. It was a 3-story Victorian (ca. 1898) sitting on a nice corner lot. Lots of good targets and almost no trash. I dug 49 coins, two keys, and a very nice sterling childs ring with a white stone. The coins dated from 1917 to 1978. Included in the pile of coins is 21 wheat pennies and 7 silvers! I found a very cool home-made store token too. I'm guessing it is for a loaf of bread. I'm going to check with our historical society and see if they can shed light on "M.D." Here's some pics, thanks for looking. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Now that's a silver haul, really great for only one house. Yes, it you do have more silver than Tony (for right now) but you have to admit that your digging conditions were a little better. on a great hunt and here's hoping that all this snow just goes away.
