    First Silver of the year

My son and I decided to go over to an old park near our home today. When we got there, it was loaded with people enjoying the fantastic weather. Because of that, we decided not to hunt there today. As we were pulling away, I noticed a couple standing in front of their old Victorian house. I figured what the heck, the worst they could do is say no. After talking to them a few minutes, I got permission and was told the house was built in 1904.
We hunted an area about 8 ft. X 30 ft. for a little over an hour. We dug a 1905 Barber dime, 5 wheats, 25 pennies ( 21 copper & 4 zinc )a junk ring, an arrow head charm, 3 keys and some clad. Not Bad For Us !!
I've always been timid about asking strangers if we can hunt their property. NOT ANY MORE !!!

Wow. The barber seems the cleanest out of all the coins you found. And it seems the oldest. I gotta get my experience asking people to hunt on property.

Those iffy signals can pay off sometimes. I dig them all of the time. You two did fantastic. I'm not sure if you would have done as well at a hunted park. Glad those people were there to guide you to a new destination.

Congrats on your first silver. It's a great way to start your year off by digging a barber! I remember when I started digging sketchy signals and it does pay off sometimes, although you'll dig a lot more nails.
