    Found a Minelab xterra 305 for $275.00 Are they any good, or should i look for something else?

    From what I have read, for the money it is a good little machine. Other than the awful manual, it gets mostly good comments. But remember, when reading customers comments, consider the source. Good and bad comments can be posted with other intentions, so read each review and see if they make sense.

    If you're serious, I would recommend that you download Randy Horton's free e-book "Understanding Your Xterra", as it will give you an idea of how flexible/capable it is.

    I've read tons of reviews. I didn't know if anyone had one. Trying to get my wife interested in the hobby. I also found a Radio Shack copy of the Time Ranger by Bounty Hunter for $35.00 I think I'm going to go with it. At least if she don't get into it, I haven't lost much money. She tried my AT Gold butsaid the controls were confusing. Really hoping she can enjoy this with me.
