    Cool find while detecting

Lee and I went out for a short hunt today to an area I have been driving by for several months that I thought might hold some potential.

We didn't find anything other than old shotgun and rifle casings ,but I did sight find this old trolley

My first thought was to turn it into a coffee table / display case for all my favorite finds, but now I'm leaning towards just leaving it be and adding a wire mesh bottom and using it for an outdoor planter stand.

I think it will look nice with an assortment of potted flowers and the like.

I can always make a table out of it down the road should I choose to.

I used a few of these exact looking type of carriers at an old wire factory when i moved out to Springfield , Ma. , they must of came with the building when the owner bought the place. they were made well and could carry heavy duty loads on them.

Truely a unique find, detected or not. Bet you're kinda glad you didn't have to dig it up! A keeper no matter how you utilize it.

Certainly a cool item, but it must have been a bear to haul out of the woods. I'm for taking it apart, having the metal parts sandblasted and adding some new wood and you have a great item. I like it.

That is really cool, I would save the original wood though if possible, talk to a woodworker and or furniture restorer about that possibility. Good eye sort of like American Pickers seeing treasure in the trash!
