    Newbie Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois

    Hello all!

    Mudflapp here hailing from right on the nose of Iowa, Davenport! Id like to thank Tony Two-Cent for the great videos, and also the hope that not everything around Illinois/ Iowa is beer cans and scrap! Ive been detecting for about three weeks now! Look forward to every chance I get to get out and do a little detecting! Looking forward to the morels popping up soon, two birds, one AT Pro!!!!! I could use some tips on this machine if theres any locals on the forum!

    Welcome and the ATP is a great machine. Just watch all the videos on the Garrett website and it will save you some of the frustration I went through. Looking forward to seeing your finds!

    I detected in Iowa City last fall with a couple of other forum members and found several silver coins, so there is still hope!

    Welcome from Washington state. I use the AT Pro which I chose because it's waterproof to the depth of any local creek I'm likely to drop it in. Garrett has some good familiarization videos at their website if you haven't already seen them. Be sure to show us what you find!

    Thanks for the warm welcome! Got so busy detecting I lost track of the forums! Working towards that 100hrs on my machine just like Garrett said! I've got some great wheats, a bunch of change, a railroad spike. And I'm hunting down a ghost town.
